Alesis Strata Core 9-Piece Electronic Drum Kit

The Alesis Strata Core is an ultra-complete 9-piece electronic drum kit that comes armed to the teeth with innovative features and guarantees the highly authentic playing feel of quality mesh heads combined with a patented anti-hotspot sensor system that, as the name suggests, eliminates unnatural hotspots. In other words, if you strike near the side of the snare or tom, it actually sounds like you've landed the stick to the side instead of full-force in the middle. As far as the drum pads go, this Alesis e-kit sets you up with an 8" kick, a 12" snare, two 8" rack toms, and a 10" floor tom. The tension of the mesh heads can be adjusted as needed.

Alesis Strata Core Cymbals and Active Magnetic Hi-Hat

Besides drums, the Alesis Strata Core kit includes a full pack of e-cymbals: a pair of 12" triple-zone crash pads, a 14" triple-zone Arc ride cymbal, and a 12" Active Arc hi-hat. The crashes and ride feature a triple-zone design for dynamic and realistic sound, while the hi-hat features an active magnetic position sensor system for unprecedented accuracy when closing or opening the hats with the pedal.

Alesis Strata Core Drum Module

The look and feel of any electronic drum kit is important but, what's just as important is what's under the bonnet. The actual core of the Strata Core kit is formed by a drum module that's powered by a BFD3 sound engine and multicore processor, and has been loaded with nothing but studio-quality sounds. The 7" touch-screen and set of knobs make tweaking the parameters as intuitive as possible, while the 75 factory kits, 800+ articulations and 144,000+ samples divided across four sample banks (Alesis Core Acoustic, BFD Dark Farm, Alesis Core Electronic and BFD Percussion) give you enough options to keep you busy for years, not to mention ample room for experimentation and creative combos.
